cravin’ custard

another crave fest… this time – CUSTARD or how us cantonese put it – “den dan” - when translated means steamed egg.
since i haven’t tried doing this before, i consulted the experts (mama & grandmama, of course).


Ingredients:
200ml sugar syrup (boil sugar with water, ginger and pandan leaf)
2 eggs


Method
sieve egg thru muslin cloth and place in ceramic bowl to steam for ’bout 15 minutes
viola. not bad & not a lot of work either… but it did solve the craving Â
