a series of unfortunate events

I joined (IF )interactive as a flash/web designer today.
Immediately I was thrown neck-deep into the quicksand known as the CIMB project. *shudders* First day of work – went home at around 9pm. That set the pattern for the next few weeks. By the last week, I was working nights too. Merdeka – what Merdeka? *grinz*
However, I got to work with Lin Yew, one of the most brilliant minds in interactive and new media design today, so how could I complain? Besides, I got to work on some extremely interesting things and have come away with tons of new experiences that I would never trade for anything in the world.

Went to war at JW Marriott.
We planned to start setting up for the CIMB event launch sometime around 4pm. However, due to a series of unfortunate events (for everyone on the team), things were delayed. It became a record-breaking feat for the whole team – approximately 8 hours taken for setting up.
I never got to go back home until the next day at 9pm in the evening. Amazing.

I was subsisting on sugar and adrenaline as we raced to meet the event launching deadline – 2.30pm. Ground zero was the ballroom. At that time it was the scariest place on earth, as tensions rose and tempers flared.
However… eventhough we were plagued by one mishap after another, we managed to pull it all together and made it work. Unbelievable. I’m extremely proud to be part of this superb team. Three cheers for (IF )!

A table that has letters flowing across it in a stream.
Once anyone holds their hands above it, letters will move towards the hand and form words.

Interactive Wall of History
The glass pane on the front is a Ubiq window.
Once the viewer touches it, the wall behind will react to show the requested information.
