Finally found the lyrics for Hate Me by Blue October. I’ve been listening to this song for ages, connecting with the lyrics. Yet I had never took the initiative to find out who sang it, until now. I’ve taken out three lines of lyrics that are the most meaningful to me.

Sometimes, the person that hates you the most IS yourself. For failing to complete your responsibilities. For failing to be a better daughter, partner, friend, colleague, leader, follower, organiser, contributor, PERSON… You can make yourself lose all confidence in your abilities and no amount of encouragement can make you believe otherwise. I fight these wars against myself everyday. I don’t even feel the urge to compete with other people. I am giving myself enough competition as it is! Therefore, I do need to thank all those around me who help me stop the fight, who help lift me from depression and give me back my self-worth. Thank you. This really means the world to me.
