IF/ shifted office from Sri Hartamas to Damansara Perdana.
This means it’s taking me an hour plus to commute to work in the mornings. And coming back later in the evenings so as to avoid the mad rush home. Which also means I get to lie on the couch and watch tv in the office after work (not entirely a bad thing). We have a much roomier work area that resembles a factory (sweatshops suddenly come to mind), complete with concrete flooring ala IKEA’s carpark. No carpets, i tell ya. NO CARPETS !! *zzzzzz* White white white everywhere – i really missed the cosy cybercafe-like atmosphere at our old office. Plus, on three separate occasions, I made the mistake of driving back to the old office on auto pilot in the mornings. That’s how badly I miss the old place. *sighs* Now with a leaky new aircond right above my head, I have still to come into terms with this new office. Like it or hate it? The jury’s still out on that 1.
Encounters from another world
Do you believe in spirits? I am beginning to wonder… perhaps it is true. I’ve been having horrible, hateful feelings in my new workplace, feelings of wanting to kill someone, of being angry and frustrated and mad mad mad. I could not control myself. It got to the point where I was weeping in the toilet everyday. Something was terribly wrong. The feelings only happen in the office. I’ve done some remedies and it’s improved somewhat. However, I still have feelings of being damn uncomfortable sometimes. What can I do except ignore them? Ah life.
Perfect World
This online game shows me exactly why there is nothing that’s perfect in this world, or any world for that matter – online or in real life. The name itself promised a long lost Eden, with beautiful graphics and effects. Gameplay wise, it’s hell on earth – where players can randomly pick fights with each other, and guilds all vie for money and power. Its a place where only the strongest will survive. If I was thinking of escaping from harsh reality, this was truly not the best place to go. But I have to admit, it’s really addictive to play.
Tranny Crabs
Found out from my mom’s friend that there are crabs with both male and female organs – the crab produces both eggs and sperm itself!
Sheraton Imperial & Villa Danieli
Stayed the weekend at a Club Room in Sheraton Imperial – just for the heck of it. And since we were there, enjoyed dinner at Villa Danieli. The room was luxurious, the bathroom amazing, and it was equipped with everything imaginable – it even had a weighing machine, iron and ironing board in the walk-in wardrobe, DVD player bla bla bla… The Italian restuarant VD was predictably overpriced but I have to admit it had a nice romantic atmosphere about the place.
Paddock Parties
The F1 just sped thru KL and somehow I got invited to one of those hip / happening Paddock Parties – this 1 held at Zouk KL, organised by Black Label. As far as I was concerned, the party was just like any other clubbing event… Yea yea I’m getting old and jaded. Our table was right by the DJ console, with the speakers right above my head. There was a ringing in my ears hours after getting out from the club. Yes, once again I’m getting too old for this.
What I did find amusing about the whole event was the name "paddock party". Why? Dictionary.com gives this meaning for the word paddock:
pad·dock1 [pad-uh
k] –noun
| 1. a small, usually enclosed field near a stable or barn for pasturing or exercising animals. 2.the enclosure in which horses are saddled and mounted before a race. |
