Numbers, dates and anniversaries
In a perfect world, both me and hubby would remember and celebrate all our anniversaries and birthdays and all other important days…
and to think about it, there’s A LOT to keep track of, if you’re into that kinda stuff. Off the top of my head I could think of – the day he first asked me out, the first time we kissed, the day we became a couple, went on holiday, got engaged, got registered, got married… yadda yadda yadda… *and my head is aching already*
Thank goodness I’m not that sort of person. I’m horrible with numbers – can’t seem to remember any of them. Once, I even took the wrong bus coz i mixed up the numbers (ie. 36 and 63).
Anyway, when we first went out, my husband was so scared I’d grill him on these special dates that he jotted down every significant event in our courtship! By the first year I had already forgotten like half of them, and got the other half mixed up, but he didn’t know that… until he tried to ask me back! LOL That’s why I’m so relieved that the date of our registration is carved into our wedding bands!
August 3 2009 (he says August 4… we’re still in dispute though i always insist i’m right) was the 7th anniversary of us being a couple. However, I only noticed we missed that celebration some 3 days after that date, when I was finding it hard to sleep. And yeah, we also missed our first registration anniversary – eventhough the date was carved into my ring. *oh well* Maybe someday we will have a special celebration – provided one of us remembers it and plans ahead!
