Urgent

Overhead at the bus stop @ tiong bahru plaza:

Man 1: Why din u pick up ur phone when i called u ahhh?
Man 2: Ohh, morning come in then I left my phone at my desk… went to do other stuff lorr
Man 1: So what if it was urgent lehhhh? Aiyoh, ppl can die like that u know….
Man 2: Everything oso urgent, everybody oso say their thing is top priority. After a while u get used to it lor… then nothing liao laa.

Now that’s so true. You do get immune to it. As my senior advised me the other day, work can never be 100% finished. Once one thing is settled, another challenge appears. Sometimes they even overlap, and that’s when it will cause u sleepless nights and headaches… that is if you’re the worrying sort. The lesser “boh-chap” ones will just shrug and go off for a smoke or something. I’m the former trying to become the latter (except for the smoking part. i dun really fancy smelling like a chimney, thanks.)
