What a week it has been! Hell on earth… wait, it’s more like hell on Tatooine (that desert planet in star wars >.< ) but thank goodness it’s almost over. I’ve never hated the on-going process of a creative project more than this one. With some projects, it’s a love-hate relationship, but this one was spoilt by one particular software that made my life hardly worth living at all. But from all the suffering, I’ve came away with one huge lesson – never touch adobe encore, not even from a distance with a barge pole, NOT even if the world would end and my life depended on it. *urghhh* It’s the most temperamental, BARELY STABLE piece of crap disguised as a program ever!
Okay, vent over. Now, since some 4 days of my cny was spent wrestling with work, let me reminisce on some good times.
This, my lovelies, is an egg shaper. Yeah, you heard me right. Don’t like the boring shape all boiled eggs come in? Pop ur shelled eggs that are still hot into this contraption and it’ll squeeze ur eggs into different fun shapes! Got it from Daiso in Sg Wang. RM5 for 2 molds – star shape & heart shape. The Japanese can think of EVERYTHING!
Sry bout the horrid pic – one of the eggs wasn’t fully cooked yet. But anyway, from this picture you can see that the eggs have definitely changed their shape LOL… I gave the molds to sis to make fun-shaped eggs for her fiance :D
Bought a cake from San Terri Cottage in Hartamas Shopping Centre to eat during CNY. RED is GREAT so we chose a strawberry custard tart! They do delicious cakes with L’Opera and Green Macha being my firm favourites. This cake / tart was wonderful too… I actually ordered this as a 1kg cake for my wedding registration luncheon. Everyone raved about it!
One thing I’ve noticed is that San Terri Cottage positioned their brand has a high-end cake “boutique” but their website is simply HORRIBLE. I thought I went to the WRONG website, for the posh branding found at all their outlets are not reflected in the site at all. And they had to show pictures of their cakes in a FORUM?!! *speechless*
Last of all, let me show you the most adorable buns (pau) I’ve seen.
Sis bought them from the Tmn Connaught pasar malam (night market) for RM7. There is 1 Hello Kitty (looks more like a pig wearing a pink flower :D) , 2 porcupines, 2 rabbits and 1 cute doggy. I do not know if they taste any good – I gave them to my husband’s nephew and nieces. These will definitely please the children! I’d try and ask their opinion about the taste this weekend when I’m back in KL.
