Delicious @ Mid Valley Megamall, KL

Delicious not only for the palate but also for the eyes. That was what I kept thinking as I walked into the restaurant. The images that seduced me were a feast for designer eyes like mine.

The marvelous use of typography, the clean decisive colours, the uniqueness of the deco choices… all of it made me snap away happily even before deciding on what to eat!

This was the place “mat” / paper promoting their specials. Check out the beautiful use of typo!

The menu was minimalistic, with just a touch of elegance.

And i love the whimsical graphics they use to break up the monotony.

Other printed matter on the table… eventhough different typefaces and styles were used, it all seemed to gel together to become uniquely delicious
Alright, alright… enough with gawking at the aesthetics and on towards feeding the hungry stomach! They have a selection of eastern dishes as well as western dishes to choose from and the menu is quite extensive. I had trouble making up my mind!

In the end I settled for nyonya curry laksa (coconut-based spicy curry soup) served with kuey teow(thick rice noodles), chicken and prawns… and i think it was the best thing we ordered that day. The laksa was thick and smooth, but without the icky oily feeling caused by too much santan. Loved the shredded cucumber garnish that made the dish more refreshing. I’ll go back just for this dish again

And they gave me three huge prawns in the laksa… fresh and crunchy too! *yum*

Hubby ordered nasi kerabu (herbed rice) with ayam percik (bbq chicken malay style) that is served with raw ulam (malay salad), salted egg and keropok (deep fried crackers). He couldn’t make himself touch the ulam for the veggies were just too raw for his liking, though overall it was alright.

>Mom wanted something rich and creamy and she chose the Carbonara Spaghettini with wild mushrooms, chicken (the original had beef bacon but we don’t eat beef), oregano and cream. It certainly did not let her down!

Dad on the other hand ordered a Spicy Seafood Spaghetti with coriander. It came with those huge prawns too! Dad declared it good, but liked the carbonara better. Ahh… our family really do love rich food LOL

I also ordered a plain caesar salad to share. The best thing about it was the turkey bacon. The dressing was a bit strong though… I find that the best is still the one from Ginger Tree.
There was so much more on the menu for they cater for breakfast, lunch, tea, dinner and anytime in-between that u need a snack and a coffee. Best for you to check it out yourselves! Their website is also informative and they have the entire menu (prices included) on display. The Delicious Group (the owners of Delicious) has 3 other restaurants, namely D’lish, Reunion and Dish.
