Lemongrass Drink Recipe

Was introduced to this drink by my husband’s cousin sis and it tastes really refreshing, especially when taken cold. Better yet, it is rumoured to have cancer prevention properties (not sure how true that is), but nonetheless there’s no harm in enjoying it!
Ingredients
- 5-6 stalks of lemongrass – roughly chopped
- 4 pandan leaves (screwpine leaves)
- 1 large knob of ginger – cut into smaller pieces and smashed
- rock sugar to taste
Method
- Place all the ingredients in a large pot and fill it up with water
- Bring to boil and simmer (with lid half open) for about 2 hours until water turns brownish golden.
- Flavour with rock sugar.
Since there’s only two of us at home, I usually store the drink in PET bottles in the fridge. It’s convenient and makes a much healthier drink than coca-cola (that is if ur careful about the sugar content).
